BLURB:

Layla is one of the most powerful women on the west coast, in every aspect of her life. Until one business trip leaves her with a 150 pound lapdog intent on pleasing her.

Danny has never had any direction, was more of a follower, than a leader. He was constantly the butt of jokes and never knew how to keep his mouth shut, until the day his Aphrodite crashed into his life.

One wielded all the power, while the other was desperate to prove their worth. Only time with tell which one will win when the roles are reversed.

**While Power can be read as a standalone, it is best enjoyed after reading Honor, Love, and Fate.**
AUTHOR NOTE: This standalone novel contains situations of power play in which the heroine takes the lead. Are you ready for a strong woman to take control?

EXCERPT

DANNY Pulling up to the Hard Rock, I hand the valet my keys as I grab my bag and head inside. Everyone is staying here, and if the plan hasn’t changed for the millionth time, the wedding is tomorrow night. Hard-On is in charge of the bachelor party, so I can only imagine what debauchery is planned for the evening. I hope he has figured out how to wash glitter off. As I wait my turn to check in, I notice all of the hotties prancing around in basically nothing. I can barely stop myself from springing a woody right here in the lobby. My eyes catch sight of a long-legged beauty, her cherry red sky-high heels click on the shiny marble floor, and skin-tight black dress hugs her curves in all the right places. Long auburn hair, intense eyes the same color, and lipstick to match her shoes, make her my own personal wet dream. She strolls through the lobby like she owns the place, for all I know she does. It doesn’t matter, I want to make her mine. My feet have a mind of their own as I follow her, eyes glued to her perky round ass. Her tall, thin heels make her legs seem a mile long, perfect for wrapping around my hips while I pound into her. As I approach the bank of elevators, the doors open, letting people off that I can’t bother paying attention too. She strides on, never slowing her pace and I barely make it before the doors close. We’re alone in a small space. She’s facing the doors with her arms crossed, she doesn’t even see me. I’m impossible to miss, over six feet of lean muscle, facing her, staring hard, I’m not easy to ignore. “Baby Boy, you appear to be lost.” A shudder runs through me at the sound of her voice, like satin caressing my heated skin. “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.” I don’t understand why but my voice is low, quiet. Not my usual volume or tone. An amused smirk covers her bright red lips as she turns toward me, she lifts a perfectly sculpted eyebrow. She makes no attempt to hide that she’s giving me a once over. “You have no idea who you’re dealing with.” Unable to resist her siren call any longer, I take a step closer, her shoulder now touching my chest. She makes a show of looking at where we are touching before making eye contact, what I wouldn’t give to be touching her bare skin. “Did I give you permission to touch me, Baby Boy?” “I want to do a whole lot more than touch you.” “What you want is irrelevant.” The elevator stops, and the doors open. After taking a few steps, she spins around and points at me. “Stay!” she commands, I find that I can’t go against it. I’ve never been more turned on and confused in my life, but fuck do I like what she does to me, and she hasn’t even touched me. The doors close and the elevator descends to the lobby, her scent lingers as I take a deep breath to commit it to memory. I have no idea who that woman is, but I damn sure will never forget her shaking the fog from my confused brain. I head back to the counter and check-in.

About Andi Jaxon

Raised in California, I’m a crunchy mom, save the whales and the rain forests, hippy. I married a sexy man in uniform who let me spawn and am now raising a mutinous army of hell raisers that I created myself, all while he defends our country. I drink too much coffee until it's late enough to drink too much wine and am sexually frustrated for your freedom. If you see me online, I'm probably sitting in a closet, hiding from my kids. About AJ Alexander

Fluent in sarcasm, Supernatural, and song lyrics, I like talking to people and finding what makes them tick, though that probably has to do with the Psychology degree. I’m up before the sun because my kids don’t sleep, chugging tea and coffee to keep my eyes open and my brain semi functional. Being married to a man in uniform means I’ve lived a lot of places, survived seeing my husband for half the amount of time I’ve been married, and spent a lot of time raising my kids alone. I love to write messed up psychos with lots of angst, happily ever afters that have to be worked for. Women with sass and backbone, men with a twisted hero complex and the need to control are my favorite to read as well as write.
