My Review:

**3 stars**

I enjoyed the dynamics of this story. Cal and Iris were from two totally different worlds, but their attraction was undeniable.

At first I didn't like Iris as a character, but she won me over with her inner dialogue. I liked that she was so conflicted between the way she was raised and what she knew was right. Her dad was an absolute monster. I hate that she was made to believe that she didn't fit in her father's world because she wasn't born a male. Cal was sweet and I enjoyed their interactions with each other.

Overall, it was a good read, but I enjoyed the ending more than I enjoyed the book itself.

"Do you want me to fuck you?" His voice is deep and warm in my ear, a molten growl. "If you want it, you have to say so."

I can smell the musk of my arousal on his hot breath. His chest is slick and hard against my back.

I can still walk away. There's still time. He's giving me an out. I can feel his strength, but also his restraint. I feel something else, too- the sharp stab of shame at how deliciously filthy it feels to have the spike of his cock pressing into my ass through his pants. The fabric is all that separates me from the feel of him thrusting into my drenched pussy, from being claimed by a man I've only just a met, a man from a world so different than mine. I feel like a fawn in a tiger's grip.

Do you want me to consume you? The tiger is asking.

"Yes," I say. "Yes, please."

I expect him to take me from behind. I hope he will. But he is going to make me face what I'm asking for, to face him. Cal rises from the bed, turning me around. His eyes command me to lie down. I obey, reveling in his dominance. I look down at my own body. There's a smudge of grease on my side. The insides of my thighs are slick. The room smells like sex. I'm still wearing my pumps. Who knew daddy's girl could be such a little slut. I almost climax again from the thought of the change that's come over me.

Cal is beside the bed, those big hands slowly undoing the clasp of his belt. I'm mesmerized by those hands, by what they have already done. My ass aches slightly from their squeeze; my nipples tingle as if those calloused thumbs are still abrading them.

He pushes his pants and briefs down together. His cock, released from its confines, springs up in freedom amid a thicket of dark curls. It's huge like the rest of him, the knobby head crowned with a drop of pre-cum, the length mapped with a network of thick raised veins. My lips part, as I imagine him holding my hair and shoving that beautiful cock in the back of my throat as I whimper in submission.

What is wrong with me? I've always given head as a perfunctory act, but I want to taste Cal like he tasted me, want to know if his flavor is as salty and earthy as I imagine it would be. I don't get the chance, though. As soon as Cal steps out of his pants, he lowers himself over me, and I feel the power of his naked body against mine. I'm delicate next to him, my skin slick with sweat. The whine of the air conditioner is barely a hum, the hot air of the room pressing us together. The only illumination is a shaft of early evening light coming through the slit in the room's blackout curtains.

Cal lowers his mouth to mine. The tongue that just delved between my nether lips now parts the lips of my mouth, fencing with mine as his hands roam my body.

"So beautiful," he says. "You're so damn beautiful. Spread those legs for me, baby."

It's the same commanding tone he used when he told me to get in the truck, the simple comment stirring something in me that I didn't even know existed, something manifest now as I part my thighs, crying out with something deeper than fulfillment as he pushes himself into me. His girth stretches me to the point of pleasure pain. I whimper as my legs go around him, sinking my teeth into his shoulder as our sweat-slick bodies begin to move, sliding against one another. I close my eyes, imagining our bodies as some kind of carnal machine, his cock a drill, plumbing and plumbing my well of pleasure. The sound of his breath, his moan…it's the sexiest thing I've ever heard. I hug his slim hips with my thighs, the heel of one shoe spurring his back, urging him to fuck me harder. He heeds my wordless request, his hips moving like a piston, his heavy balls slapping against my ass.

"Come for me. Come for me now!" His tone is intense, the dark eyes more so. I can't breathe, can't speak. I can only fall into the void opened by the quaking climax. The shockwave that starts as a quiver becomes a strong ripple that milks his cock. He tenses just before I feel the sensation of his hot seed washing into me. My legs squeeze in time with his spurts. I hear a cry and realize it's mine, realize that whoever is in the next room must have heard.

I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. When it's over and I come back to my senses, I will. But for now, for the first time in my life, I feel free.

Iris Tremaine is rich, sexy, beautiful, and way above my pay grade. But that’s not about to stop me.

The attraction is mutual and intense. Iris has never been with a man like me, a man who overwhelms her, a man who says and does things to her that her pedigreed boyfriends never dreamed of.

If her oil baron father finds out, losing my job will be the least of my worries. Roger Tremaine will never accept the thought of a common roustabout putting big, dirty hands on his little princess.

When Iris gets pulled into a plan to cover up the company’s poor safety record, she needs my help to expose the truth. Getting involved raises the stakes for both of us. When it comes down losing her inheritance or the rough love of the only man who's ever given her real pleasure, which will Iris choose?

Variety is the spice of life and Ava Sinclair writes a little something for everyone, from dark romance to menage to kinky AF age play. But the one thing that is consistent in her books are strong storylines, alpha males, and strong women whose hearts and bodies aren't given up without a fight.

Ava lives in southern Virginia, where she enjoys hoarding books, hiking, running, spoiling her cats, and spending time with her Eurasian eagle owl, Lucius.

BLURB:

He is as cold as ice.

She is the salvation that will melt his heart.

When Endora is faced with her daughter’s terminal illness, she takes the only chance she’s got. She braves the potential risks and signs a mating contract with the Delradon Draekon Lords, intent on using the payment to buy the aliens’ cure to save her daughter’s life.

Lord Aldric Darragon rules over his land with an iron fist until one day the only woman who is genetically compatible with him agrees to his offer of mating. As his all-consuming passion for Endora explodes, an ancient threat looms heavy over humans and Delradons alike. With the lives of everyone he cares about hanging in the balance, Aldric has to fight the demons of his past if he wants to defeat the enemies of the present.

Publisher’s Note: This gripping sci-fi alien romance has it all: dragons, passion and tension. It also contains explicit themes and is intended for adults only.

My Review:

**3-stars**

I liked the plot of the book. I was completely engrossed by the idea of alien beings coming to save us from ourselves, save the earth from our ruin (silly humans, lol) and I absolutely adore dragons so it was like a win-win.

I loved Aldric's character. I liked that he was mostly silent and broody, but his bond with Rhyl was gorgeous. I loved their fierceness, their loyalty, the danger they represented. I also liked that Rhyl was just as playful as he was deadly. I liked his possessiveness (don't judge me), I also liked that he was so adamant about protecting his family (although he took it too far). I loved that he had so much emotional depth, even though he didn't always show it.

I can't say that I actually liked Endora's character. While she had her reasons for the things she did, I felt like a lot of it wasn't warranted. I felt like once she made her sacrifice and Aldric basically told her he wouldn't let her go, she should've came clean. I didn't lie that she carried on with her lies when there was no real need to. I also didn't agree with her reasoning for leaving the castle. That just made absolutely no sense to me. With so much danger, the obvious dislike from certain people, and faced with the person who abandoned her when she needed it most, her choices were basically dumb.

Overall, I enjoyed the story, but Endora kind of ruined the total effect for me. I would still recommend it to others and I would definitely read more from the author.

NYT & USA Today bestselling author M. Malone lives in the Washington, DC metro area with her husband and their two sons. She holds a master’s degree in Business from a prestigious college that would no doubt be scandalized by how she’s using her expensive education. Independently published, she has sold more than 1/2 million ebooks in her two series, THE ALEXANDERS and BLUE-COLLAR BILLIONAIRES. Since starting her indie journey in 2011 with the runaway bestselling novella “Teasing Trent,” her work has appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists more than a dozen times. She’s now a full-time writer and spends 99.8% of her time in her pajamas.

USA Today bestselling author Nana Malone‘s love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense novel she “borrowed” from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She’s been in love with kick-butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination constantly channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters. While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, Nana works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as brazen and kick-butt as she thinks she is.

Brielle

He consumed my mind.
I never even crossed his.
From the moment I met Michael, mysteriously brooding and dressed like a dark angel, there was something electric between us. Or so I thought. What I believed was a seductive and undeniably raw attraction has ended up being something else entirely, something I never foresaw. Because he’s a skilled liar and a master manipulator, and I downright misread his intentions. And now I’m afraid that falling for the man in black might become my biggest regret.

Michael

An overwhelming remorse haunts me after losing my fiancĂ©e, but I’m not a man who can afford to lower my guard. I’m a ruthless criminal, one of the top members of the merciless mafia, the Chicago Syndicate, and I moved back home to keep to myself and do a job. But when a curvaceous pastry chef with a beautiful smile and a possible link to my former life catches me in a reckless moment, I’m forced to watch her and strategize a plan. Because I’m not sure if she’s out to get me or if she’s just an innocent civilian who doesn’t know that the restaurant she works at is actually a front to launder Syndicate money. And I intend to find out if she’s playing me while I’m playing her. But then the demons that haunt me force me to make a huge mistake…

Deceit has a price—I just have to make sure I don’t pay with her life.

A standalone novel from the Chicago Syndicate world.

My Review:

**4-stars**

First off, let me say that I adore this cover! I love the beautifully dark vibe it gives off and then that little pop of color (full disclosure, red is my favorite color lol) makes is amazing.

As for the book itself, I liked the characters even though they made me want to punch them in the throat on several occasions. I loved the growth that Brielle made from her first interactions with Michael to when he came back. I was glad that she had Fallon in her corner. However, I felt like she was a little too easygoing at certain points (Michael clearly needed a few  slaps). That said, I liked that she was so mature for certain situations. It made me like her more. As for Michael, I actually enjoyed the second look at him. The first made me almost hate him, but he was still a sweetheart. and he was gorgeous, so there's that, lol.

I liked the flow of the action in this book. It kept me entertained and I felt like everything made sense. It was tame compared to other mafia related books I've read (violence was mentioned and hinted at, but outside of a couple of incidences, it wasn't as detailed as I expected). I also enjoyed the secondary characters, even though this is the first book I've read in the series. One thing left unresolved for me was Ivo. I don't want to reveal too much, but the extra phones was never really explained.

Overall, I liked the book and would recommend it to others.

My Review:

**5-stars**

I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book! This was my first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised.

Rosie/Angel was the perfect mix of sweetheart and badass. I loved that she was so outspoken and had no qualms about putting people in their place. I liked the dynamic between her and all the men in her life, especially her dad. Her one moment of stupidity was integral to the plot, but I hated it all the same. Declan/Wolf was also a great character. I hate that they were separated for so long, but it all made sense.

The things I really want to write about would give too much away and be considered spoilers, so I'll just say grab a copy of this book ASAP. You won't regret it.

I look forward to more from this author and would recommend it to others.
