Title: Royal Atlas
Author: HJ Bellus
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 12
Love struck me at the early age of five. The boy turned into a man, and I fell even deeper. Guy Webb had no idea my fragile heart belonged to him for so many years. He was too busy being my brother’s best friend and a star on the football field. He was my daydream, and consumed every single thought, but he was always one step from my reach.
Beartooth Ranch was our home. The rich ranch land raised us, fostered our laughs, losses, and even gained a new family member when Guy moved in for his sophomore year of high school.
I hid my love for years. But now he’s back. Guy Webb returned a broken soldier after serving his country all over the atlas. And now it’s my job to help him heal.
My family lost everything with his return and I can only hope I survive it.
Love is never simple. It's complicated, and heavy, and a crap ton of work . . . but it is SO worth it and HJ Bellus proves as much with this book.
I chose to read this book based solely on the cover image (seriously, go look at it again; I'll wait . . . that physique, right????). Yes, you read that right. I totally judged a book by its cover and man did it pay off. OMG, the delicious feels in the book! This woman is a literary goddess and I will henceforth worship her as such. This was my first novel by this author, but it won't be my last.
I honestly have no idea what to put in this review. I feel like I should mention the love between Molly and Guy. I feel like I should mention the lovable @$$hole that is Amos. I feel like I should mention the horse training to deal with PTSD. Alas, I feel like I should mention so much more, but I just can't. This book has left me "writeless" because I doubt that anything I put in this review would really do it justice.
This book was well written, well edited, well thought out, just plain well-freaking-done. Read it, people. Read it and enjoy the literary bliss that it will bring you.
USA Today Best Selling Author, HJ Bellus is a small town girl who loves the art of storytelling. When not making readers laugh or cry, she's a part-time livestock wrangler that can be found in the middle of Idaho, shot gunning a beer while listening to some Miranda Lambert on her Beats and rocking out in her boots.
